Dadi Gao is an Assistant Professor in Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) with a research focus on the computational analyses of multi-modal sequencing data in neurological disorders (NDs). After receiving his PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Sydney in Australia, he joined the labs of Dr. Michael Talkowski and Dr. Susan Slaugenhaupt at the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) of MGH as a postdoc, where he co-led the functional genomics team that aims at understanding the molecular etiology in multiple NDs and developing treatments using advanced computational strategies. Upon completion of his postdoc training, he started his own lab in the Neurology Department at MGH and is actively exploring functional genetic elements in non-coding regions and how those disruptions are associated with neurological disorders.
